2014 began with a trip to Nanda Orphanage in the Kandhamal District of India. Our travels in and around the area were curtailed due to security reasons, but God’s plans began to unfold as the week progressed. One of our main goals was to bring two water purification systems with us and install them where needed most.

Winter 2014 Update

Late in January, a team of four GPMO Board members and 6 other participants headed to India. Below is a summary of some of the exciting events and developments we were privileged to experience. After 40 hours of travel, we arrived at the Nanda Orphanage/Hostel and were greeted by 140 children plus adults– all singing, dancing, showering us with flowers petals, and placing floral necklaces over our heads.

August 2013 Update

Out of 150 children in Nanda, eight students graduated from high school this year, and two will go on to college for bachelor’s studies. We are humbled to let you all know that two of the young adults who were raised in Nanda are now trained police officers working for the State Dept. One young woman is an intern registered nurse in a city hospital, two young adults are currently being trained for teaching professions, and another is pursuing public service through national politics.
